We are excited that spring is now in full swing. The pools are filling up again with anxious swimmers, both new and seasoned, and many families have decided to join us a little earlier than in seasons past. This year is a year like no other for Evolution Swim Academy since it is the year that we unveil our first indoor, state-of-the-art, learn-to-swim facility. There is so much planning that goes into a facility of this nature because we want to make sure that no stone goes unturned. We also want to make sure that the facility is warm and welcoming to our clients and that the layout is as accommodating as it can be. After all, our clients carry strollers, diaper bags, multiple children (sometimes one child may feel like multiple children), laptops, baby bjorn’s, formula, diapers, towels, a change of clothes just in case, snacks and the “lifesaving” ipad and as a father of three, I know the importance of an ipad, preloaded with the movie Frozen that although watched 100 times, still seems to catch their attention like no parent can.
Our swim lessons started in January, our swim camps started in March and Parent & Me lessons started this month. Next up is our summer swim team (yes, I said summer) starting in May and shortly after that, sports camps start up in June. It is never too late to join any of these programs so please call us with questions.
This is also an exciting time for us because it allows us to put into practice all of the updating that we did over the “off-season.” We made changes to our curriculum and to the way that we hire and train our employees. We created and are currently testing out a system that will allow us to electronically update parents on their child’s success in lessons and if that’s not enough, we also created our first parent referral program. For every family you refer, we credit your account $20.00 to be used towards lessons. There is no limit to the number of credits that you can accumulate. For these reasons, we are excited about spring and the endless opportunities that it brings to both our clients and to Evolution Swim Academy.
By the way, did you hear that Michael Phelps is coming back to competitive swimming? I guess that’s exciting as well.
