Over the past couple of years, we have been hard at work making it easier for our clients to do business with us. Not only have we focused on the quality of our teachings and the substance of our curriculum, but we have also been laser focused on technology, and on making technology our friend. The past 24 months have taken us from a basic phone call and email platform to a virtual platform that includes both traditional and non-traditional communication.

Our biggest accomplishment has been the integration of our Evolution Swim Academy branded app. This has been a game-changer and it could not have come at a better time. Just as the world became touchless, so did we. The app allows our clients to experience a touchless check-in, where our clients can pull up a QR code that is unique to their family and check-in all students on their account with one wave of a smartphone.  How cool is that? The app offers so much more. Our clients can submit a future absence over the app, check attendance and make-up tokens, update enrollments and personal information, and update billing information as well. All of this can be done without having to pick up a phone. Just recently, we added a feature that allows clients to make pro-shop purchases prior to attending lessons. You make the purchase over the app and we will have the item ready for pick up.


The app may be our biggest technological achievement in 2020 but that’s just the beginning. For families that would rather communicate with us over a desktop or laptop computer, our robust parent portal will not disappoint. It has all of the features included in the app and is very easy to navigate.


One more feature that we added in 2020 was the addition of our ‘chat’ option. The chat option can be found on our website and it gives current members and prospective members the ability to chat with us online. One of our customer service reps is always logged in during business hours. There are so many ways to communicate with us and if you still enjoy the personal connection of a phone call, we operate a call center during specific hours of the day/week. Our call center is opened Monday-Friday from 9:00-4:00 pm and you can always email us and expect a response within 24 hours.


2020 wasn’t all bad. It gave us an opportunity to reflect and to be better. During this pandemic laden year, we had multiple training classes that our instruction and administrative teams participated in. We further developed our training team, which now includes 3 Team Members, a training supervisor and two training assistants. We welcomed a new swim center in Rancho Mission Viejo, which will be completed by spring of 2021. We made it easier for our clients to communicate with us and best of all, we never lost touch of who we really are. But I think

that the most remarkable thing that we did as an organization is that we did not have to lay one person off after June 1st. Once we decided to move forward and bring back all of our Team Members, we never looked back.
