With the Halloween festivities now behind us and the holiday season officially in full swing, we now look forward to lots of food, spending time with family and great holiday deals. Halloween takes special meaning in my family because it is an opportunity for us to take our yearly family picture. This year, as we have done for the past three years, we decided to pick a theme for our family picture and that theme was Pirates of the Caribbean. With last year’s theme being the Aadams family, we knew we needed to step up to outdo ourselves and after 4 months of planning, searching and scouring the internet and Goodwill for costumes, we took the picture and the finished product is below.

I included both pictures because I wanted to show you what our 2014 production looked like v. 2015. As tough as this year’s final product will be to beat, I can tell you that planning has already started for 2016. Although we do not have an idea as to what it will look like or what the theme will be, one thing is for sure, we will keep it close to our chest until October 25, 2016 comes around. Stay tuned, it is sure to be a good one.

This blog post is not really about our costumes or how our picture turned out, it is more about working to get better, even when you feel as though your best may be behind you. For my group of Olympic partners and I, it means putting in overtime to assure your child’s future success in and around the water. It also means continuing to develop our specialized courses so that your child has an opportunity to continue developing with us.

2015 has been a special year in that we now offer year-round, indoor swim lessons so that families can confidently attend swim lessons in the colder months of the year without having to worry about the weather. As I have said before, “no matter the weather, it’s always 86 degrees in our swim center.” For 2016, warm air temperature will not be enough. During our holiday break, we look to drain the pool of its existing water and refill it with new water and water that will use new treatment technology that will be much easier on the skin of our students. When we reopen our doors in 2016, the water will be cleaner, healthier and much easier to maintain with this investment. We are proud that we can offer this to our clients.

New water is not all that we will offer. We will make upgrades to our center in an effort to keep up with client demand. We will install hairdryers and infant changing tables in the restrooms and a swimsuit dryer in the hallway so that our families can dry their swimsuits before leaving the swim center. We are also working on creating a fun sibling experience in the party room so that siblings are entertained during swim lessons.

Last but not least, we continue to enhance our swim lesson curriculum. One of our Core Values reads:

“Our curriculum will offer challenging skills, rewarding milestones and will teach lessons for life”

Evolution Swim Academy’s in-house curriculum was developed to assure that we maintain a curriculum that continuously aligns itself with our customers needs.  We have added locations, programming and we continuously update our curriculum to reflect changes in learn-to-swim teaching practices.  Our curriculum is the backbone to our success and to the success of our students and team members.

It is my promise to you that I will continue to provide the best learn-to-swim experience through our swim curriculum, swim center and overall customer experience.

I look forward to seeing you around the swim center in Mission Viejo and taking advantage of our year-round programming that includes Parent & Me lessons, Swim Lessons, Intro to Gators and Splashball. I would also recommend our birthday parties. There is nothing better than a winter birthday party that includes swimming.

I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and know that I am thankful that you are a part of our extended family.

Sincerely,

Felipe Delgado
