The summer has arrived and so has the warm, humid weather. Humid? I am not sure how this happened. We are in the desert, it’s suppose to be a dry heat right? Just a couple of days ago we even had thunder and lightning amidst 90 degree temperatures. Are we in Miami or Orange County? I guess it is a nice break from the norm but hopefully short lived. As we barrel into the holiday weekend, I want to give you a quick recap of what we have going on this summer.
The Parent & Me lessons are active everywhere that Evolution Swim Academy has a footprint, as are swim lessons. We have 2 locations for Swim Camps; Renaissance ClubSport and San Juan Hills High School. We also have 2 sites for our Sports Camps; San Juan Hills High School and Nellie Gail Ranch Tennis & Swim Club. Our Summer Swim Team is in full swing and is offered at Ladera Ranch, Nellie Gail Ranch and San Juan Hills High School. In all, we have 20 programming opportunities per day to take advantage of. If you are reading this, you are on our website which means you have all of the information that you need. If you have any questions, give us a call and we will be happy to help.
This weekend is a chance for us to relax and enjoy family. Evolution Swim Academy will be celebrating the 239th anniversary of our independence and as such, will be closed Friday and Saturday. I know that many of us are used to hard work and at various points of the year, we let it take over our lives. I am guilty of this and with 3 young kids at home, these breaks mean more to me than you could ever imagine. I am convinced that coming out of the weekend, I will have 4 young kids at home. I cannot be sure, especially since my wife’s due date is not until the 8th, but something tells me that this weekend, I will not only be celebrating the big “239” but also celebrating number 4. Number 4 is really number 1 because technology and our OB tell me that it will be our first boy. I’ve picked out some of his first outfits. What do you think?
On a final note, be extra careful this weekend. Our students are still in the learning stages of their development and although many of them can be deemed “safer swimmers,” it is always great practice to keep an active eye out and always make sure that they do not overextend themselves. Remember, drowning is silent and with so many people in and around the bodies of water that surround us, it is easy to lose track of a child.
Thank you for being a big part of our extended family, be safe and Happy 4th of July!
