Safety Swim Lessons

Evolution Swim Academy offers five swim safety learning levels. When your child has successfully completed all lesson plans, you can be assured that he/she will be a safer and more confident swimmer.

Children learn best through repetition and while in our safety swim lesson plans, our students will repeat the skills within each plan until we feel that they have mastered the skills necessary to move up to the next learning level. This will assure that our students retain the skills learned and the natural progression in our curriculum will make it easier for our students to transition from one level to the next.

Safety Levels

Starfish 1

Details: 24 months + | 28-minute class | Certified Swim Instructor lead class for students, independent from parents | 3:1 student to instructor ratio.

Objective: Starfish 1 is for students who are new to swim lessons, timid or fearful of the water. Our instructors will work to acclimate these students to swim lessons by having them learn to be comfortable above and beneath the surface of the water. Instructors will also work with students on assisted skills, like the back-float, that will later be learned independent from instructor assistance.
